“It’s the Godfather here”.

Whenever I answered the door or phone to him, that’s how Pete introduced himself to me.

And he was.  Not just in name but as a constant guiding presence in my life for over some four decades.

It’s impossible to capture the millions of memories I hold of Pete but what I’ll miss most are his never-ending stories, our fantastic debates (also seemingly never-ending to those listening in), that raised eyebrow of disbelief that he could push so high it would almost disappear into any of his many hats, and that amazing smile that lit up his face. 

But what I’ll miss more than anything is to be there today to say Goodnight & God bless to the best Godfather a girl could ever hope to have.

Thankyou Pete for a lifetime of love and fabulous memories - you’ll be missed more than you’ll ever know.
